Welcome to the
FIRE EVAC TOUR 2025 .
How to design a fire alarm detection and reporting system in compliance with current regulations
A practical case
During the second half of 2025, Beta Cavi and Bosch Security Systems will once again be sponsors in the usual training and dissemination event on fire regulations.
The 2025 edition of the FIRE EVAC TOUR will deal with the theme of the design of a fire alarm detection and signaling system according to the current design standards (UNI9795:2021, UNI ISO 7240-19:2010, UNI CEN/TS 54-32 and UE305: 2011) applying an innovative engineering/design approach immersing the professional in a real real case.
Together we will analyze the design of a virtual university campus within which environments with different conditions and levels of risk have been specially designed in order to provide the most complete case history possible.
This will allow the professional to examine the most suitable design and plant solutions to implement, highlighting the variables that can reduce the effectiveness of the system itself.
Event sponsored by the main Orders.
Registration is free and the event has a limited number of places, therefore registration is mandatory.
- We will address problems and critical issues in the design of fire prevention systems and voice evacuation systems
- We will examine specific environments by analyzing which parameters need to be considered to provide the most appropriate solution.
We will analyze the fundamental design aspects including: intelligibility, detection in critical situations, environmental conditions of use, etc. - The cables will have a fundamental role in guaranteeing interoperability between the devices, therefore we will examine reference design standards, installation conditions, civil and criminal liabilities, main causes of system malfunction resulting from an incorrect technical choice, etc.

With the introduction of the UNI 9795 2021 standard on 2 December, the designer, in the prescription phase, is called upon to make a more detailed choice taking into account aspects such as: technological nature of the system, characteristics of the infrastructure, evaluation of the operating environmental conditions and the relative level of risk… Countless changes have in fact been introduced compared to the previous version of the standard, for example: The integration of the technical reports TR11607, TR11694, the new UNI EN 54-1. The new design requirements regarding false ceilings, zoning, coverage and positioning of point detectors. Management of the coexistence of the detection system and the EVAC system The new requirements relating to the choice of interconnection lines in relation to the technical characteristics of the system and the environmental conditions in which one finds oneself operating. Today the role of the designer is acquiring ever greater importance as he is considered a figure with a global vision of the system and the installation context, equipped with the training bases necessary for identifying the best solution to implement. An innovative approach will also be presented through the use of technologically advanced products (e.g. fire detection via video camera).
Speech by the engineer Andrea Barbieri
The role of the designer is of fundamental importance in the prescribing phase of fire detection systems, as it is essential to make accurate choices and in compliance with current regulations, in particular UNI 9795:2021. Multiple aspects must be taken into consideration, such as the characteristics of the general infrastructure, the technology of the components, the construction elements of the environments, in order to then define the most suitable devices to be used with correct positioning and coverage. During the seminar, the professional will find himself immersed in a specific environmental context in which the possible design choices with the components to be used will be highlighted.
Speech by Fabrizio Altomare
The seminar will analyze the regulatory aspect of interconnection lines by examining the necessary references to be inserted during the prescription phase and those to be verified during the installation phase of the fire alarm detection and signaling systems. The civil and criminal responsibilities of the installer and designer will be examined (DL106/17), providing all the elements necessary to conduct a correct prescription and installation. We will proceed with a detailed analysis of the main types of cables that belong to the fire alarm detection and signaling system, examining the construction standards, the test methodologies and the substantial differences of the lines to be used depending on the technology used and the installation context. Particular attention will be dedicated to the analysis of the innovations relating to the interconnection lines introduced by the new UNI 9795:2021 design standard released on 2 December 2021.
